Conservation International is one of my favorite sources for inspiration, information and just connecting with people who really do have nature and the oceans as a priority. There is much valuable information about activities that are on going, actions that people are taking out in the field, changes we are all trying to make and also what we all can do in our daily lives to be more nature aware and eco-conscious.

I love their “Nature is Speaking” series. It’s very difficult to pick any of them, because they are all so very beautiful, and so very true. But here’s just 3 of them I recommend to start with… and you can watch ALL of them on Conservation International’s dedicated page.

Julia Roberts is “Mother Nature”:

“…How you choose to live each day whether you regard or disregard me doesnt really matter to me. One way or the other your actions will determine your fate. Not mine. I am nature I will go on. I am prepared to evolve. Are you?”

And of course the one I watched about 20 times – Ian Somerhalder is the Coral Reef:

“I am coral, I’m the largest thing alive on this planet… I grew for almost 250million years, and human came along and now 1/5th of me is gone. 1/4 of every marine life depend on me… When big storms and tsunamis barrel through the ocean, I’m your fortress. But you destroy me with dynamite and poison me with cyanide. Here’s a crazy though – stop. killing me.”

Kevin Spacey is The Rainforest – his voice is just perfect for this. If I was The Rainforest I’d want nobody other than Kevin Spacey to be my voice.

“Humans they’re so smart, such big brains… They’ll figure it out. Humans making air, that’ll be fun to watch.” 🙂

Conservation International also has the “Charity Watch Top Rated” badge – meaning they are transparent about where the donations go. If you’d like to consider donating to support nature conservation efforts – here’s the link. AND if you use Amazon like I do – be sure to select Amazon Smile – it’s nothing additional to you – but a donation is made from every purchase to your selected charity – in this case 0.5% of the price of each item goes to Conservation International.
